Bible Study
Bible Study continues as we explore the only books of the Bible which bear the names of women, the Books of Esther & Ruth. Both books contain interesting understanding of faith, courage and perseverance. This will be an eleven session study.
If you’d like to participate on Monday evenings, please call the church office. All are welcome!

Book Study - Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m.
June is observed as Indigenous Heritage Month in Canada. In light of this join us for an interesting and informative study of the book “The Power of Story on Truth, the Trickster and New Fictions for a New Era." Written by Harold R. Johnson, award winning Indigenous writer.
Approached by an ecumenical society representing many faiths, from Judeo-Christians to fellow members of First Nations, Harold R. Johnson agreed to host a group who wanted to hear him speak about the power of storytelling. This book is the outcome of that gathering. In The Power of Story, Johnson explains the role of storytelling in every aspect of human life, from personal identity to history and the social contracts that structure our societies, and illustrates how we can direct its potential to re-create and reform not only our own lives, but the life we share. Companionable, clear-eyed, and, above all, optimistic, Johnson’s message is both a dire warning and a direct invitation to each of us to imagine and create, together, the world we want to live in.

UCW Meetings
UCW meetings are on the first Monday of every month at 1 p.m. between September and June. Next meeting is on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 1 p.m. (one week later due to Labour Day on September 7)

CANADA HELPS AND ON PAR: Did you know that you can make donations to the Church even if you are unable to attend church on Sunday? To donate through Canada Helps, go to www.canadahelps.org enter Pilgrim United Church Edmonton in the search box and you can donate by credit card. Receipts are given right away. To donate through On Par, fill out the authorization card (found on the back table) and attach a voided cheque to the card and turn them into the church office and we will submit it for you. It is then withdrawn from your bank account each month. It is that easy.
